Periodically I have checked Amazon to see if any of the Mary Stewart books
have made it to eBook format. Yes, I know they were in that format and
available in the United Kingdom. But here in the USA I could not find them.
About a week or two ago I periodically checked Amazon and was pleasantly
surprised to see the Stewart book now in eBook format. Yea. I quickly
scarfed up my favorite, Airs Above the Ground, and will purchase a few more
in the next week or so.

Sometimes some really obvious authors don't make it into e-books. For
example Emma Lathen's books are available as e-books. But R. B.
Dominic's books aren't. Which is strange since R. B. Dominic was
Emma Lathen (Were Emma Lathen?)

I understand why sometimes authors are skipped when it comes to
making e-books out of their books. If the author is dead it can
be very difficult to trace and get authorization from the current
holder(s) of the copyright. I'm not sure why the books would be
available in one country and not in another, at least between the UK
and the US. Well, one thing. Does any body know about any significant
differences in the lifetime of a copyright between the UK and the
US?
