Do y'all even talk all that much?

Are all of you not reading mysteries or want to talk about them. I know Carol mostly wants to talk about her and husband's health, but the rest of you must want to share. I go in once in a while and try to get people chatting, but nothing happens.

Peeps, I'm a big time time over the top depressive but make you make me wonder.

Time to disappear again!

I been reading a LOT, but have been remiss in reporting in
my "recently finished" mini-reviews on what I've read.

I guess I'll need to make time to write up some posts to
cover a few books at a time to try to catch up.

I've actually found a couple of series that look promising
and am currently reading #3 in the Tubby Dubonnet series,
"Trick Question." Not a cozy, but it's got a bevy of good
characters and has a touch of humor.

Nyssa, who will at least try to write a post covering a
chunk of what she's read lately later this afternoon,
thunderstorms permitting

I'm currently over half way through Jane's 'Gregor Demarkian' series. Am
enjoying them -- so far, I've only run into two that (whether because of
my mood at the time or some other reason) I just couldn't get into. So,
I jumped around in those to get the plot and the solution and moved on.

When you're limited by physical constraints as to what you can to -- you
end up with lots of time to read and play stupid games on the computer.
Normally I can get through on of the Demarkians in a day to a
day-and-a-half. Then I may go and read one of the 70-odd other books on
my kindle (or from the library) before I start another mystery.

Been reading a bunch of space-opera stuff on my kindle. Some of it being
of the post-apocalypse type. Much more 'someone has let loose a viral
plague that kills 90% of the world's population' type -- rather than the
'post-nuclear war' books that were around 40-50 years ago.

I'm not real great on reviewing books. I either like it or I don't. (A
major reason being whether I like the characters or not.) If I don't, I
usually don't finish the book. I've also found that my tastes have
changed over the years. I'm in the process of weeding out books that I
know that I won't be re-reading any more. (Anyone know of someone who'd
want to buy 'cheap' a caboodle of J.A. Jance's J.P. Beaumont mysteries?)
I also am going to try and sell all of my Anne McCaffrey 'Pern' series.
But I'm sure that I'll never let go of my Lord Peter Wimseys.

This is a bunch of 'chatting' -- but not so much recommending of mysteries!

I've been reading a few of those SF "end of the world as
we know it" books on my Kindle too. After-EMP seems to be
a hot topic in that genre along with the epidemic and
similar disaster types. I seem to be drawn to the EMP ones
since we're all so surrounded and dependent on the electric
grid and devices for just about everything these days.

I also know how it is about changing tastes over the years.
I have a tall stack of Star Trek novels I wonder if I'll
ever get around to reading much less re-reading the ones
already read. Same goes for some of the fluffier cozies.

I do still enjoy an occasional humorous book on top of all
the thrillers and cozies plus biographies or histories
about specific topics.

Lots of stacks of read and un-read DTBs plus the many
thousands of Kindle books mean I won't run out of things
to read any time soon. Yet I still collect and buy more,
just in case or trying to predict what topics or genres
I might be interested in going forward.

As for selling any of them, I wonder if there is any market
for most of them except for rare, OOP, or autographed copies.
Besides Francis, that is. :)

I didn't realize I was doing that. I thought I only posted when I had a good book to talk about. Not getting a lot of reading new books done just now because of that an another issue at home. I will try to avoid that.
